The Players

Joyce Beauvais, Founder and Director

Joyce Beauvais is the founder and artistic director of the Ivoryton Players, in association with producer Jacqueline Hubbard, artistic and executive director of the Ivoryton Playhouse. Joyce has been in professional theater since the age of seven spanning more years than she is willing to declare! Prior to her concentration on directing, comedic acting was her greatest joy and has done so in almost all the contemporary, Restoration and Shakespearian comedies one can think of - her favorites, any Neil Simon. Joyce has performed on stage, in radio and Film and on TV. She has been a member of Equity, SAG and AFTRA. She has, as well, produced on and off Broadway and owned and operated a restaurant and jazz cabaret in NYC (Chez Beauvais) partnered with uber manager and producer, Jack Rollins. After arriving, via NYC and then FL to CT (living in Niantic) three and a half years ago, she started her “Players” groups under the umbrella of Shoreline Drama. She also presently runs the East Lyme Players and this is her tenth staged reading production with her Shoreline Drama groups. The Ivoryton Players are a troupe of extraordinarily talented individuals who come together in rehearsal and performances as a true ensemble. The Ivoryton Players are a shining star in Ms Beauvais’ theatrical experience. It is a great joy for Joyce to lead this very singular group of Players.

We extend our deep gratitude to Jacqueline Hubbard, executive/artistic director of the Ivoryton Playhouse and to all its staff and crew for their continued support.
